People's Choice Award 2000

The Canadian Stone Works Bubbling Birdbath was the winner of the People's Choice Award for the New Product Showcase Garden at Landscape Ontario's Congress 2000. This new product combines a hand-hewn birdbath with a bubbling fountain. This birdbath is especially unique in the fact that the base bowl was quarried in Wiarton in 1924 and the birdbath itself was quarried in 1999, showing the timelessness of the stone and the beauty of this natural product. Only the best products were used in this birdbath, with all limestone coming from the Bruce Peninsula quarries.

Canadian Stone Works is owned and operated by licensed stone mason John Kroezen of Hepworth, Ontario. The company's main production takes place on his family farm, Shalom Deer Farm, on the Sauble River. A licensed stone mason for 15 years, Mr. Kroezen puts his artistic touch into stone landscape furniture and accessories, which many tourists enjoy as they pass by his home on their way to sunny Sauble Beach.
