Canadale announces new plant introduction

Canadian gardeners can add another exciting new plant to their inventory lists with the recent introduction of Itea virginica 'Little Henry' (Little Henry Sweetspire).

Introduced to Canada in 2000 by Canadale Nurseries of St. Thomas, Little Henry Sweetspire features sweetly scented, pure white flowers that bloom like fireworks in the early summer. A dwarf plant, Little Henry has a low-mounded compact stature perfectly suited to mass plantings in large banks, beds and borders, and has a fall colour that rivals that of Euonymus alata (Burning Bush). Little Henry is hardy to zone five and grows to a maximum height and spread of 18 to 24 in. by three ft. It is also tolerant of a variety of light conditions.
